Morning Minute – 8.26.25

“Information, Anticipation, Planning, & Execution!”
(The repeatable formula that turns setbacks into success stories)

video preview

My first GM assignment was to a restaurant with broken processes and a negative local reputation. To achieve a quick turnaround, I needed to know exactly what customers expected, what strategic changes to make, and which resources to align.

We began by making the restaurant clean and welcoming. Next came continuous staff training and personal accountability. Finally, with a clear plan and consistent execution, the location transformed from struggling into a thriving and successful business.

That experience taught me the 4 essential steps of every successful turnaround:

1. Information – Start with facts. Assess the 4 Ps of Success: People, Process, Product, and Promotion. Where are the gaps? Where are the strengths? Without a clear picture of all four, you can’t build a path forward.

2. Anticipation – Look ahead to shifts in the market and how competitors will react. Anticipation isn’t just forecasting trends; it’s preparing to respond faster and smarter than others to market changes and competition challenges.

3. Planning – Break the strategy into clear milestones that measure progress. Milestones keep your team focused, motivated, and accountable. Each checkpoint proves whether you’re on track or need to adjust.

4. ExecutionConsistent action delivers results. But execution also means recognizing and celebrating wins along the way. Celebrations build momentum, reinforce good habits, and energizes people to keep pushing forward. Remember: Education without Action is just Entertainment!

When a team or business is struggling, this 4-step formula creates clarity, direction, and lasting success.

MORNING MINUTE CHALLENGE: Use these 4 steps to analyze a recent promotion or your monthly performance. Write down what went right and what you can improve on.

If you want an independent view, contact me. I will gladly share some observations to assist in your future improvement.
