Morning Minute: 8.22.25

Selling with Faith and Purpose
Trusting God with the outcome by serving others

A wonderful and blessed friend sent me this message after my Morning Minute on How to Best Serve Your Clients.”

Here is the message:

“I never enjoyed closing, even back in my high school telemarketing days. But I did it because I had to in order to survive. Now, I’m thankful I don’t have to live stressed out over hitting my numbers. It took 20 years and a lot of faith. I take a step back, let it flow, and trust God with the outcome. Sure, I might miss some numbers, but I’d rather pray it through and let Him bring it to completion. I don’t even see what we do as numbers or sales. God still provides in ways that blow my mind!”

Having Godly, faithful friends like this really inspires me.

In Bob Buford’s book, Halftime, he reminds us that we spend the first half of life making a living - and the second half making a difference. Yet in truth, what we earn while making a living often makes a huge difference—supporting families, creating jobs, and fueling opportunities for many others.

Salespeople—really, all of us who sell something—play a critical role in this. Selling done right...is service. We don’t just move products or provide services. We help people solve their problems, reach their goals, and improve their lives.

Yes, selling IS a worthwhile and valuable career. Done with a spirit of cheerfulness, and delivered with an attitude of service, it can bring you satisfaction, prosperity, and the contentment of knowing you have helped others.

If we allow Him, God will guide our actions. Even when we stumble, He provides what we need. That’s why I see sales not just as a profession, but as a way to serve God - by serving others.

🙏 May God bless you, your family, and your team.
