Morning Minute 9.26.25

“Life is a Journey – Not a Guilt Trip!”

Reflecting on past mistakes or painful events can be helpful when it leads to learning. But when we let mistakes or events consume us, they take control of our future. The real question is: Which journey will you take—guilt or growth?

MISTAKES:
Imagine you were a respected business leader—valued by your family, admired by peers, trusted in your community. Then, you make a foolish decision costing you your career, your reputation, and your relationships. Would you let that mistake define the rest of your life? Or would you admit your error to God, seek forgiveness, learn the lesson, and begin again?

Which journey would you take?

EVENTS:
Now imagine your spouse suddenly passes away, leaving you with young children, a deep loss of income, and the collapse of what you had built together. Would you let that tragedy control the rest of your life? Or would you reach out to God, family, friends, and clergy to begin rebuilding?

Which journey would you take?

Both scenarios reflect real-life challenges. Whether caused by your own choices or circumstances beyond your control, the truth remains: setbacks are part of life. What matters is how you prepare for them and/or how you respond to them.

Here are four actions to help you stay on the right path:

1. Put God first in every decision. His plan for your life is always infinitely better than what you can design alone.

2. Learn from the mistakes of others. Their consequences can serve as a warning for you.

3. Study the winning paths of others. Success leaves clues—follow them to avoid career-ending or family-destroying errors.

4. Anticipate life-changing events. Planning won’t remove your pain or loss, but it can lessen the hardship, replace the income, and speed your recovery.

And remember:

“Life is a Journey – Not a Guilt Trip!”

That is today’s Morning Minute.
