He handed me a legal pad and said, It was simple—but it addressed something many professionals still struggle with today: Feeling overwhelmed because they don’t have a system. I learned quickly: Today, we have better tools than ever. The key is using them with a simple process. Here are three ways to make time your ally: 1. Plan Ahead 2. Schedule Everything 3. Review and Adjust Daily When you can’t schedule something immediately, capture it—on a small pad or in a quick note or text to yourself. Then review and schedule it promptly. If you feel overwhelmed, it’s usually not because you have too much to do—it’s because you don’t have a clear process to manage it. Finally, use Stephen Covey’s decision framework to prioritize:
When you follow a simple system, overwhelm decreases—and control increases. And that’s the goal: less stress, more control, and better results. The crowds were festive with few issues. The planning is already underway for 2027. As Vince Lombardi stated "Success is never final!"
